CALL FOR PAPERS

NET-COOP'2007

International Conference on Network Control and Optimization (Euro-FGI
event: WP.IA.7.5)
1st Edition
June 5-7, 2007, Avignon, France

http://www.lia.univ-avignon.fr/html/netcoop2007/net-coop.html

SCOPE
Internet communications and services are experiencing an increase in
volume and diversity both in their capacity and demand along with an
underlying increase in the complexity of their control and optimization,
mainly due to heterogeneity in architecture as well as usage. The need
for new ways of effectively and fairly allocating resources belonging to
a wide set of not necessarily cooperative networks to a collection of
possibly competing users is urgent.

This workshop aims at developing research on control and optimization of
the Internet, ranging from performance evaluation and optimization of
general stochastic networks to more specific targets such as lower-layer
functionalities in mobile networks, routing for computational grids,
game theoretic approaches to access control, cooperation, competition
and adversary capacities in diverse environments.

The main themes for NET-COOP are (but not restricted to):
*	Flow and congestion control in networks
*	Optimisation and control theoretical tools in networking
*	Game theoretic analysis of networks, incentive pricing, inducing
collaboration
*	Hierarchical optimisation in networking
*	Scheduling transmissions in networking
*	Control of queuing networks
*	Optimisation of wireless networks
*	Resource allocation and their optimisation
*	Transport protocols
*	Computational grids
*	Competitive routing
