The final one of our group talks before the summer break is this
Wednesday (July 9th) at 3:30 in GS/302. The speaker is Ian Brown from
Oxford University.

Politics and privacy engineering

Since HM Revenue & Customs lost the details of 25m UK citizens, privacy
has been high on the political agenda. Will this bungling lead to
longer-term political change? How could a government that valued privacy
engineer large-scale information systems that are genuinely protective
of personal data?

This is the last talk before the summer break. Offers of talks or
suggestions of speakers to ask for the autumn are most welcome.
