Title: Building Practical Systems with Software-Defined Radios
Speaker: Georgios Nikolaidis, UCL CS
Time: 14:00, Tuesday 22nd November 2011
Venue: MPEB 6.12

Abstract: Software-defined radios are a promising platform for wireless research since they provide access to a wealth of information typically concealed by commodity hardware. But they come with implementation challenges: the wealth of physical-layer information is voluminous, making its timely processing a tricky business. In this talk we will see the process of performance-tuning of WARPLab platform (http://warp.rice.edu/trac/wiki/WARPLab) with the goal of making it suitable for wireless MAC protocol research.
