Hi All

The technology industry at large is witnessing a sea change in networking technologies exemplified by Software Defined Networking (SDN). The enterprise architect view of SDN, as presented by Rupert Brown, of USB, at the London IASA conference in April 2013,
is Application Defined Networks (ADN). Cisco would like to facilitate a conversation and research around ADN for enterprise architects.

To this end, Cisco has teamed up with the IASA to sponsor a one day workshop on ADN. IASA Global is an association focused on the technology architecture profession through the advancement of best practices, education and certification. IASA has 50 chapters
and interest groups in more than 30 countries, and has a member base and readership of over 70,000 worldwide.
IASA UK in sponsorship with Cisco Systems are delighted to invite you to a one day free Architect Summit focused on the subject of Application Defined Networks (ADN).

This event will offer an inclusive and focused conversation on what ADN can offer the broad landscape of businesses and public bodies. It will look to address important questions such as:

• “What are the differentiators that will lead to competitive advantage?”

• “What might be the killer features that your organisation will look to pay for and what problems will they solve?”

• “Who will be impacted by ADN and how will roles and skill sets need to change or evolve?”

Over the course of the day we will explore the key questions and concerns. We will ask industry experts and thought leaders to share their opinions and experiences. We will invite prominent organisations to present insightful results of their work. We will
facilitate panel discussions and roundtable workshops so the truth can be sought through discussion.

This IASA UK ADN one day summit will be crucial for architects covering all aspect of the software estate to understand the opportunities opening with ADN, and how to position themselves well for the changes ahead. It will also allow those attending to look
at the big trends (e.g. Cloud, Big Data, Social, Mobile and Security) through the lens of the network and understand the impact of ADN from the perspective of a broad range of stakeholders. Working groups formed from members of the IASA community and interested
parties will further develop the ideas and concepts discussed during this workshop.
