Comment:

 Now working on clean compilation of RAT, using gcc-4.0 on FC4. I would
 expect most of the warnings to go away since gcc-4.0 should be backwards
 compatible to prior versions of gcc on linux at least, but is worth
 checking.

 Will check also how these fixes behave on Windows.
