Comment:

 Configured subversion's post-commit hook script mailer.py to send email to
 SUMOVER-dev. The latest script can be found
 [http://subversion.tigris.org/tools_contrib.html#mailer_py here].

 Had problems with UCL smtp refusing to deliver messages with response:
 smtplib.SMTPDataError: (554, 'No date field given')

 This turned out to be due to a strict check on mail headers in the local
 smtp config (to avoid spam, etc). To overcome it, we modified our
 mailer.py to include an acurate "Date:" field.

 We submitted a patch to Subversion dev list for mailer.py.
