Hi Akhila,
As Snow Leopard comes with both Tcl/Tk 8.4 & 8.5, you could use
"--with-tcl=" and "--with-tk==" configure switches to specify where the
tclConfig.sh and tkConfig.sh files are for Tcl/Tk 8.4 on Snow Leopard.
You might also like to look into the "-mmacosx-version-min" gcc/g++
switch to specify the minimum version of MacOS X to target.

Subject: [POSSIBLE VIRAL EXECUTEABLE REMOVED] VIC on Snow Leopard and
Leopard
Hello Douglas,
Thank you so much. I successfully compiled vic on snow leopard.
I have a question. One of my software components uses tcl 8.5 and I
install tcl.frameworks and tk.frameworks with the software installation
in /Library/Frameworks folder.
Default tcl/tk on snow leopard is 8.5.7 and on leopard is 8.4.7. Is
there any way I could compile vic which can run on both with the same
binary?
I'm thinking, if I could compile vic using 8.5 but run using 8.5 on my
software (frameworks attached) and not on the mac system library. Can
this be done?
Thanks
Akhila
