 I should probably add that it was an issue when the VIC_DEVICE env
 variable  was used with grabber-video4linux.cpp which prevented the early
 setting of the port and capture type for linux, so that was the reason I
 think I added MacOS X conditionals to the init_grabber() code in AG Aqua
 vic.
